We’re excited to have you at our brunch learning event! At this event, Monica Barbosa from the blog elegantista.com is sharing what she has learned about pursuing her passion project on a budget. If you have a project you’d love to pursue but have been hesitant to start, join us as we discuss how to break down mental and financial roadblocks and take the leap!
Monica Barbosa moved to Chicago in 2014 and about a year into her move she started to explore the Chicago entrepreneur scene. By 2016 she decided to launch her own blog with the long-term goal of one day turning it into a destination lifestyle & personal finance site for millennials (one day, in the far far future). As far as blogging/entrepreneurship goes she’s a relative newbie but in the year or so that she has been an active blogger/entrepreneur. She has managed to learn a significant amount about starting and launching a business on a budget. She’ll admit in the beginning she made a few financial mistakes, but those mistakes have served as invaluable lessons in blogging and entrepreneurship.

Building and fostering genuine relationships among creative women entrepreneurs can be challenging. At Creative Women’s Co. we believe that it all started at a personal level connection. We value intimate networking events as a way for us to get to know each and everyone who attend the events. Our events are less like meeting up with random professionals but a gathering to see friends, learn together and create collaborations.
