Sometimes when we heard how other brands are telling their story, we can get so drawn into the storytelling part of it. I have always wonder how or a better question will be what were their process in creating such well-thought storytelling flow that captures the curiosity and the big reveal of their stories.
Not until a few weeks ago, I learned how to craft my own story in a way I described above. Thanks to our guest speaker for August, Isabelle Rizo who led us to a session of “Be Your Own Publicist”.
The event started off with Isabelle asking few questions to our audience on what has drawn them into the Creative Women’s Co. Brunch event for August, especially with the topic that we are covering for the event. To my surprise, a lot of them are intrigued on how to use their story to benefit their brands, or how to use the press they already have then make a good story from it.
Isabelle then took us to the overall process on how to craft that story and with an activity that everyone can execute right away. From figuring out the intention of the story, inviting the audience to the process until the big reveal is out.
The conversations we had at the event flow consistently with everyone asking questions and giving ideas to one another. At the end of the event, we all got a chance to network with other creative women who came and continuing our conversations online on our Facebook group.
